Job description

What you get to do:
You will do more than just serve food and beverages - you will highlight all the amazing catering opportunities the parks have to offer. Your upbeat attitude and positive energy make all the difference in delivering an exceptional guest experience. We're looking to you to enthusiastically represent the park through your consistent commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work. You will:
  • Set up tables, buffet line if appropriate, linens, silverware, glassware, and napkins
  • Provide tables and buffet line service including drink orders, serving menu items, and clearing tables
  • Pour a variety of beverages and ensure appropriate drinking age and monitor guest consumption of alcohol following all company and state guidelines
  • Become well-versed on menu items and ingredients
  • Provide menu and general park information to guests
  • Restock buffet line, food stations and dessert table
  • Monitor and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Bus tables and roll silverware
  • Maintain facility cleanliness
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old
  • Three or more months of experience in a full-service restaurant or comparable catering events
  • Tray service experience or previous banquet serving experience preferred

What else is important:
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
  • Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • This position is for on-call catering with a minimum number of required shifts worked per month
