Job description

The 'Prep Maintenance Technician / Operator' (herein referred to as 'PMT/O') is responsible for the mechanical maintenance or repair of the Warping, Twisting, and Slashing equipment. Additionally, the PMT/O will operate and maintain the Twisting frames and perform maintenance to ensure quality and efficiency of the machine. The PMT/O's will assess maintenance problems and attain the necessary resources for the effective repair of machinery and equipment. In addition, PMT/Os will be on call for any emergency repairs which cannot be handled by the PMT/O. TPM assignments will be completed and high grades and/or scores will be maintained on all equipment. The PMT/O will assist in the installation of any new equipment and upgrades on existing equipment, as needed. PMT/O's will maintain records on repairs and follow all ISO standards as directed by management. While working safely, the PMT/O will patrol twister frames, while carrying out the twisting and plying procedures as well as placing specifications on the twisting frames and verifying the quality of the product in the event of machine failure. The PMT/O will also inspect for defective bobbins and repacking creel yarns into boxes using the proper handling methods. They will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their machine at all times, follow weekly TPM cleaning audit schedule. The PMT/O will complete all paperwork and maintain all related records according to ISO standards. The PMT/O may be asked to work in Warping/Creeling, as needed. PMT/O may be expected to perform maintenance on the Delta 110 Draw-in machine. Other duties as assigned
