Description:

This position is casual/on call meaning there is no set schedule or guarantee of work. We are seeking candidates that are looking to casually fill in for administrative vacancies as needed.


This position is anticipated to close on June 16, 2026, but applications will be accepted until position is filled and removed from the Delta County jobs website.


GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The casual/on-call Administrative Assistant will perform routine and detailed administrative support functions to ensure efficient operation of the assigned Delta County Department. Assistant will routinely communicate with and assist members of the public, coordinate with internal departments and external business partners.


General Duties:

  • Answer and transfers phone calls, screening as necessary.
  • Welcome and direct visitors and clients.
  • Maintain filing systems as assigned.
  • Retrieve information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents.
  • Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and calendars as requested.
  • Prepare documents as requested.
  • Record and create minutes for meetings as requested.
  • Performs other similar and related duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business operation or office administration preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ comprehensive administrative experience is desired.
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products, database management and website builder programs is desired.
  • Bilingual with English and Spanish is helpful.
  • Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirement.

Licenses/Certifications:

Current and valid Colorado Driver’s License


GENERAL BENEFITS:
