Are you passionate about delivering unforgettable customer experiences and leading teams in a dynamic, creative environment? Olfactory NYC - the leader in bespoke, personalized fragrances - is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Studio Manager to support daily operations, ensure exceptional guest service, and help lead our retail team to success.
As the Assistant Studio Manager, you'll partner closely with the Studio Manager to oversee the sales floor, manage team performance, and uphold the Olfactory NYC experience. You'll combine leadership, operational precision, and storytelling to inspire both clients and associates alike.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Sales
Warmly greet all guests, introduce them to our brand story, and guide them through our custom scent experience.
Ensure every client interaction reflects our brand values and results in a memorable and personalized visit.
Assist in achieving and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
Address client needs and concerns promptly to maintain exceptional service standards.
Oversee check-in and check-out processes, ensuring payments and client notes are accurately entered.
Team Leadership & Communication
Lead by example-maintaining a positive, professional tone and adherence to all company policies.
Support the Studio Manager in training and developing associates on product knowledge, storytelling, and sales techniques.
Assign daily tasks and breaks effectively, ensuring optimal coverage and productivity throughout the day.
Communicate clearly and consistently with team members regarding updates, priorities, and expectations (including via Slack).
Operations Management
Conduct weekly inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels for both product and supplies.

Manage and ensure timely and correct processing of online orders and in-store pickups.

Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, including accurate cash handling, deposits, and store readiness.
Maintain operational excellence through attention to cleanliness, organization, and compliance with visual standards.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation
Support the rollout and maintenance of seasonal and evergreen merchandising directives.
Ensure the sales floor and product displays reflect Olfactory NYC's elevated brand aesthetic.
Monitor and replenish tester fragrances, blotters, and visual materials as needed.
Training & Development
Participate in ongoing education related to the guest experience, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
Conducting continuous learning and development checks among team members to elevate service and sales performance.
What We're Looking For
1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience in a customer-focused, luxury, or experiential retail setting.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a passion for motivating teams.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
