Job description

Server Assistant
Racine Country Club is seeking a Server Assistant to join our professional hospitality team. Qualified individuals will be friendly, responsible, motivated, and enthusiastic about providing an exceptional dining experience for club members. Must be a least 16 years old.
Responsibilities
  • Assists Servers in their set-up, service, and clean-up tasks.
  • Serves water as members and guests are seated.
  • Assists in carrying food trays to tables.
  • Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish-washing area.
  • Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen.
  • Sets tables with silverware, glassware, and other items.
  • Cleans dining room areas.
  • Stocks servers' station with supplies.
  • Collects trash from dining room, grill, and other specified places after each serving period.
  • Dusts chairs before and after meals.
  • Collects soiled linen from dining room, transfers to linen pick-up area.
  • Folds napkins and breadbasket linens.
  • Cleans-up spills, broken service ware and attends to similar problems during service with minimal disruption to diners.
  • May assist banquet personnel in setting-up, serving and cleaning up after banquet functions.
  • Polishes silver service items.
  • Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting).
  • Moves tables and chairs as needed for the next member and guest diners.
  • Re-sets tables at end of shift for the next meal period.
  • Assists with banquet and buffet setup.
  • Helps to maintain a fully stocked buffet.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as needed (we value teamwork)

Qualifications
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the dining area
  • Understands and can communicate with staff, members, and guest in a professional & warm manner.
  • Have an ambition to learn, a sense of urgency, and an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. Seeking candidates that have a true passion for serving customers and exceeding their expectations.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to walk and stand during entire shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Age requirement: 16+
