Interventional Radiology Technologist – Travel Contract

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Contract Dates: September 27, 2026 – December 26, 2026
Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week / 0.9 FTE
Call: Required based on department needs

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment with a hospital system in southeastern Wisconsin. This position will support interventional radiology procedures at St. Joseph Hospital and Elmbrook Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent interventional radiology experience, be comfortable working with GE imaging systems, and be willing to rotate between locations based on department needs.

Schedule and Call Requirements
  • Day shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Approximately 36 hours per week
  • Weekday call based on department needs
  • Every third weekend call rotation
  • Holiday call rotation with current staff
  • Must be willing to travel between St. Joseph Hospital and Elmbrook Hospital
  • May float to other sites within approximately 40 miles when needed
Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients
  • Operate fluoroscopy and related imaging equipment
  • Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Document procedures accurately and follow facility safety standards
  • Support vascular and other image-guided procedures
  • Respond to call requirements as scheduled
  • Float within the hospital system based on clinical needs and experience
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of recent Interventional Radiology experience
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Active Wisconsin radiologic technologist license
  • Experience with GE imaging systems
  • Previous travel assignment experience
  • Ability to take weekday, weekend, and holiday call
  • Willingness to float between facilities within the candidate’s skill set
Preferred Qualifications
  • VI certification
  • Previous experience working within a multi-site hospital system

  • Candidates must complete all required facility competencies, skills checklists, and specialty testing before starting
