Job description

Overview

Al Warren Oil Company is looking for hardworking and motivated seasonal team members to assist with painting projects, yard work, and shop maintenance at our Chicago facility. This is a great opportunity for college students or individuals looking for seasonal hands-on work during the summer and fall months.

This position focuses heavily on fuel tank painting, surface preparation, shop upkeep, and general yard responsibilities. Candidates should enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a hardworking team environment.

This is a seasonal position with no benefits offered.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with painting fuel tanks, equipment, and shop areas
  • Perform surface preparation including sanding, scraping, cleaning, and masking
  • Support general yard organization and housekeeping tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
  • Use power tools and equipment safely when needed
  • Help move materials and supplies throughout the yard and shop
  • Assist maintenance and operations staff with seasonal projects
  • Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
  • Capable of standing, lifting, bending, and working throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Schedule

This seasonal position is expected to work approximately 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Some weekend hours may occasionally be required based on workload and weather conditions.
