Commercial Sales Manager - Oilfield

Sun Coast Resources LLC, a RelaDyne Company is looking for a results-driven Commercial Sales Manager - Oilfield to lead sales strategy, develop a high-performing team, and drive revenue growth and profitability.
Location: Houston, TX or Midland, TX
What You'll Do:
  • Develop and execute a commercial sales strategy focused on drilling, completions, and production operations within assigned basins or geographic territories.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with exploration and production operators, drilling contractors, pressure pumping companies, and other upstream service providers.
  • Expand customer relationships by increasing product and service penetration across multiple rigs, pads, and producing assets.
  • Monitor upstream basin activity, including rig counts, frac fleet deployments, and operator development plans, to anticipate demand and identify growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for upstream accounts, including field superintendents, drilling and completions managers, and supply chain personnel.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships by gaining a clear understanding of operational workflows, equipment requirements, and product consumption patterns.
  • Lead contract negotiations including master service agreements, pricing structures, and volume commitments aligned with company margin expectations.
  • Support customers during operational transitions including rig mobilizations, frac operations, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Manage and sell a portfolio of products and services including bulk fuel delivery, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), lubricants, and oilfield chemicals supporting upstream operations.
  • Coordinate with technical and operational teams to ensure proper product application, compatibility with equipment, and reliable product performance.
  • Support field trials, consumption optimization initiatives, and cost management strategies designed to improve customer operational efficiency.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts based on basin activity, drilling schedules, and customer operational plans.
  • Manage pricing strategies within commodity-driven markets while maintaining profitability and competitive positioning. Maintain an active sales pipeline and record customer activity within CRM systems.
  • Analyze customer performance, product volumes, and margin trends to support strategic account growth.
  • Partner closely with operations, dispatch, supply chain, and safety teams to ensure reliable service delivery and operational alignment with customer expectations.
  • Support onboarding of new upstream accounts and expansion of services across additional customer sites or assets.
  • Participate in field visits, customer operational meetings, and service reviews.
  • Serve as a commercial escalation point during service disruptions or operational challenges affecting upstream customers.
  • Promote and support a strong safety culture across all customer engagements and field activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations including DOT, EPA, OSHA, and customer-specific safety standards.
  • Support customer audits, site safety orientations, and operational readiness reviews as required.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent upstream industry experience.
  • Minimum of five years of commercial sales experience supporting upstream oilfield operations.
  • Demonstrated success selling fuel, diesel exhaust fluid, lubricants, or oilfield chemicals within drilling, completions, or production environments.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Reside withing reasonable commuting distance.
  • Strong understanding of upstream operational workflows, equipment, and field logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work within field-based operating environments.
  • Working knowledge of upstream oilfield operations including drilling, hydraulic fracturing, and production support activities.
  • Understanding of basin-level market dynamics and operator activity.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage pricing structures and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and operationally demanding environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong execution and follow-through.
