About Applexus
Applexus is a global technology and business consulting firm, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Seattle, with delivery centers across North America, Canada, the United Kingdom, and India. We empower enterprises to accelerate digital transformation by combining deep industry expertise with SAP-centric and cloud-native solutions.
In the Oil & Gas sector, we deliver transformative solutions that optimize operations, modernize complex processes, and enable enterprise-scale SAP and digital transformations. Our services include SAP S/4HANA, data modernization, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and cloud adoption-helping clients achieve measurable business outcomes, unlock growth, and gain competitive advantage.
At Applexus, we offer leaders with entrepreneurial vision the opportunity to build and scale a practice, influence strategy, and drive multi-million-dollar business impact.
Role Overview
As a Partner at Applexus, you will operate as a business owner with end-to-end responsibility for building and scaling the Oil & Gas portfolio. This role is designed for a commercially driven leader who combines deep Oil & Gas domain expertise, established industry relationships, and a proven ability to build pipeline, win clients, and drive enterprise-scale digital transformation.
You will shape practice strategy, influence C-suite stakeholders, originate and close new business, and build long-term client partnerships. With a commercially driven mindset, you will grow the practice by leveraging your Oil & Gas industry network, cultivating trusted advisory relationships, and partnering with internal delivery teams to position Applexus as a preferred transformation partner within the Oil & Gas ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Ownership & Growth
  • Own the North America Oil & Gas portfolio P&L, including revenue, margins, pipeline, and forecasting.
  • Define and execute the multi-year vision, strategy, and operating model for the Oil & Gas practice.
  • Build, prioritize, and manage pipeline; drive deal pursuits, pricing strategies, and closures.
  • Act as the primary client owner for strategic Oil & Gas accounts.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of specialists, driving excellence in delivery, client engagement, and innovation.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including account planning, executive engagement, proposals, and deal shaping.

Client & Industry Leadership (Oil & Gas Focused)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level Oil & Gas executives on technology-enabled transformation, operational excellence, and digital modernization-translating complex business challenges into compelling solution narratives.
  • Lead executive workshops to identify high-value Oil & Gas use cases, define success metrics, and translate business challenges into executable roadmaps.
  • Leverage deep industry networks, customer relationships, and thought leadership to influence enterprise-wide Oil & Gas programs and long-term partnerships.

Delivery Partnership & Oversight
  • Partner with delivery leaders and technical teams to ensure enterprise-grade standards are upheld across SAP, data, analytics, and AI programs within the Oil & Gas portfolio-representing the client's voice and business priorities throughout.
  • Provide senior client-side oversight across key engagements, maintaining accountability for outcomes, managing escalations, and ensuring delivery teams remain aligned to agreed business objectives and timelines.
  • Act as a senior advocate and escalation point on strategic engagements, leveraging client relationships and industry knowledge to navigate complex situations and protect both client trust and Applexus's reputation.
  • Proven leadership experience in Oil & Gas consulting, business development, enterprise technology sales, or senior client advisory roles-with a track record of winning and growing accounts in the O&G sector.
  • Demonstrated ownership or co-ownership of multi-million-dollar portfolios with clear accountability for revenue, margin, and growth.
  • Strong executive presence with established relationships across Oil & Gas enterprises.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building, scaling, or transforming practices or business units.
  • Deep understanding of Oil & Gas business processes, commercial technology solutions (including ERP, data management, and digital platforms), and the ability to credibly engage enterprise O&G clients on transformation opportunities.
What We Are Looking For:
Why This Role is Different
  • True business ownership with autonomy and accountability
  • Ability to build and scale a practice, not just deliver projects
  • Leadership influence across strategy, clients, delivery, and talent
  • Compensation and recognition aligned to business outcomes
