Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking aย Crude Oil Schedulerย to join our team. This positionย is responsible for the logistics operations and scheduling including dispatching, truck tickets/logs reconciliation, gain/loss reporting, managing, and negotiating rates/requirements, scheduling/producing nominations, and confirming deals and volumes. ย This position is also responsible for business development, looking for new business and optimization opportunities. Additionally, this position provides and analyzes information for settlements.
Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Scheduling

  • Confirm monthly deals and volumes with counterparties
  • Produce monthly nominations to various locations and marketsย 
  • Schedule pipeline nominationsย 
  • Dispatch daily trucking orders and communicate ETAs to counterparties
  • Analyze company's long/short physical position daily, including truck ticket reconciliation,ย gain/lossย reporting, and barge offloads
  • Blend in receipt of material at assets
  • Negotiate and manage truck and barge contracts (rates, requirements)
  • Forecast monthly transportation costs
  • Collaborate with inspectors on reports, nominations, lab results, service, etc.
  • Participate in daily operations calls

Business Development

  • Build and maintain customer relationships to identify new opportunities
  • Monitor ARB models (e.g., Cushing, West Texas) for arbitrage opportunities
  • Optimize trade book through logistics strategies

Administrative Duties

  • Review and approve trucking and barge freight invoices
  • Support settlements by verifying volumes, analyzing logs, and resolving discrepancies
  • Participate in deal capture verification

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in industrial Distribution, Business, or related field
  • 4 Yearsโ€™ experience in Operations, Logistics, or related field
  • 2-4 Yearsโ€™ experience in oil and gasย

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenย ย 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to get results and resolve customer needs.ย ย
