Warehouse Forklift Operator/Drum Puller

Role Summary:

The Forklift Operator/Drum Puller is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, storage, retrieval and manual staging of drums of oil other automotive fluids. This position operates forklifts and other material handling equipment while ensuring compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations. This is a manually intensive, fast-paced environment. It requires regular and effective communication with warehouse management and the bulk repackaging department. Position: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week M-F 6:30am to 3:30pm; overtime available

Location: On Site

Compensation: $21 per hour starting DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

· Load, unload, move, stack, and stage oil drums, totes, pallets, and related products.

· Pull and prepare oil drums for customer orders, production needs, or delivery schedules.

· Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.

· Verify product identification, quantities, and documentation.

· Monitor storage areas to ensure proper placement and containment of oil products.

· Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment deficiencies.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and bulk storage environment.

· Follow all spill prevention, environmental, and hazardous material handling procedures.

· Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation activities.

· Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

· Cross-training and growth potential available for the self-motivated.


Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· 2-3 years sit-down forklift experience with proof of prior certification. Able to be certified in-house.

· Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or bulk oil handling experience preferred.

· Basic math and inventory management skills.

· Ability to read and follow written procedures and safety instructions.

· Ability to operate an electronic tablet for inventory mgmt. and day-to-day workflow

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to commute reliably and timely to our Tualatin facilities.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.

· Ability to ergonomically maneuver through proper leverage 200-400 lb drums on and off pallets

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.

· Ability to work in warehouse and industrial environments.

· Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.

· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) – must provide own hard-toed shoes. Hard hat, eye and ear protection provided.

Working Conditions

· Exposure to warehouse, bulk oil storage, and loading/unloading environments.

· Potential exposure to lubricants, oils, and related petroleum products.

· Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Requires adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
