Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial gas and oil burners
  • Service and troubleshoot commercial boiler systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment tune-ups
  • Conduct combustion analysis and optimize burner performance
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, combustion, and control systems
  • Repair and replace pumps, motors, nozzles, ignition systems, controls, and related components
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Perform equipment startup and commissioning
  • Complete service documentation and maintenance reports
  • Respond to emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA requirements and applicable codes
Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial gas/oil burner service experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial boilers and burner systems
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical controls and combustion systems
  • Working knowledge of hydronic and steam heating systems
  • Experience with combustion analysis and emissions testing preferred
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience is a plus
  • Valid gas/oil burner technician license or certification, where required
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
