Job Title: Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Location: 36637 LA Hwy 30, Geismar, LA 70734ย 

Night shift role : 4 days a week/ 8 PM to 6:30 AM

Total Reg Hours: 40/week

Qualifications:

  • Immediate need for a QC Lab Tech
  • Night Shift role: 4 days/week. Overtime eligible role

Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Technician I must be able to perform the following laboratory operation tasks:

  • Active participation in EHS initiatives and compliance, including adherence to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish proficiency in data management systems such as SAP and Documentum to perform tasks such as COA generation, quality release, procedure review, and analysis reporting.
  • Analysis and reporting of raw materials, inโ€“process, and finished goods samples in conjunction with monitoring plant operations through analytical results.
  • Follow established SOPs & STIs.
  • Ensure documentation of lab activities, including batch sheets, logbooks, databases, worksheets, etc.
  • Understand method precision and testing error.

  • Perform analytical calculations.
  • Support Quality Systems such as ISO and RCMS.
  • Maintain sample retain program.
  • Monitor and review instrument controls by use of routine instrument checks through calibration, verifications, and/or validation.
  • Provide instrumentation maintenance support by identification of maintenance needs and provide troubleshooting information prior to maintenance.
  • Effectively conduct shift relief (if applicable).
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Comments/Special Instructions

  • Experience with lab tech is required. Night shift role for 4 days/week.
