Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic and play a vital role in supporting marine construction and dredging operations. In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy diesel-powered equipment used in demanding marine environments. Your expertise will ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency, contributing directly to the success of our projects in Freeport, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and support machinery.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to enhance equipment longevity and reduce downtime.
  • Inspect equipment for safety compliance and operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment status and issues to supervisors.
  • Support yard operations by ensuring equipment is prepared and available for marine construction and dredging projects.

Requirements
