Job Summary

Belden is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Manufacturing Lead to support S/4 HANA solutions. Ideal candidate is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Belden's SAP S/4HANA manufacturing domain. As part of the Application Management Services (AMS) organization, this role leads production support, continuous improvement, and business engagement across Manufacturing functions, including Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Plant Maintenance (PM).

Responsibilities

Production Support & Service Delivery

  • Own AMS support activities for SAP Manufacturing, including PP, QM, and EAM processes.
  • Lead incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis for production and shop floor issues.
  • Monitor system performance, interfaces, background jobs, and integrations to ensure operational stability.
  • Drive SLA compliance and support governance across internal teams, offshore resources, and external partners.
  • Ensure continuity of manufacturing operations by prioritizing and resolving business-critical issues.

System Configuration & Integration

  • Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing processes, including:
    • Production Planning (MPS, MRP, capacity planning)
    • Production execution and shop floor control
    • Production orders, process orders, and confirmations
    • Configure and support manufacturing master data, including Bills of Material (BOM)

Routings,  Work centers, Production versions.

  • Configure and support Quality Management (QM), including inspection planning, quality notifications, and compliance processes.
  • Support Plant Maintenance (PM), including maintenance orders, preventive maintenance, and asset tracking.
  • Ensure integration between manufacturing and related SAP modules, including MM, EWM, SD, TM, and Finance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces, IDocs, and middleware integrations impacting shop floor execution and production processes.
  • Collaborate with external systems such as MES, shop floor automation, IoT platforms, and data collection systems.
  • Contribute to and guide solution design decisions, ensuring alignment with SAP standards and global manufacturing templates.
  • Maintain configuration, integration documentation, and process flows for AMS and knowledge management.

Application Management & Enhancements

  • Analyze business requirements and deliver enhancements aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices.
  • Own prioritization of the Manufacturing support backlog and coordinate activities across onshore and offshore teams.
  • Support system releases, upgrades, testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT), and change management processes.
  • Ensure consistent integration and data flow across manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with plant operations, manufacturing leadership, and supply chain teams to improve operational efficiency and drive adoption of SAP solutions.
  • Act as the primary IT point of contact for manufacturing stakeholders across global sites.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and optimization of manufacturing processes.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical solutions.
  • Provide functional leadership, user guidance, and training to business users.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and promote SAP standard capabilities.
  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA manufacturing trends and recommend strategic improvements.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 8+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in Manufacturing domains.
  • Deep functional expertise in:
    • Production Planning (PP)
    • Quality Management (QM)
    • EAM/Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing execution, shop floor control, and production processes.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing master data (BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions).
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing configuration and integration with MM, EWM, SD, TM, and Finance.
  • Experience supporting production environments within an AMS or support organization.
  • Experience with integrations (IDocs, middleware, MES/shop floor systems).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing incidents, enhancements, releases, and change control processes.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate global teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP certifications in PP, QM, or PM.
  • Experience with MES integration, shop floor automation and EAM.
  • Familiarity with SAP EWM and supply chain integration.
  • Experience working with global system integrators and distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or service management frameworks.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $101,400 - $152,100 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
