Job Summary/Basic Function
Work in main Residence Life Office to assist with customer service, answering phones, copying, filing and other basic office functions.
1. Work all assigned office shifts when the main office is open (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) excluding holidays and weekends.
2. Provide good customer service on the phone and to persons entering the main office needing assistance.
3. Attend any training sessions before the start of each semester if required. Attend any/all scheduled meetings with the Office Assistant supervisor(s).
4. Understand all current Residence Life housing policies to assist students and parents with questions.
5. Perform administrative duties on a daily basis, including but not limited to filing, creating documents/flyers, tracking data, assisting with mail sorting and distribution, shredding, archiving, and other duties as assigned.
6. Other duties as assigned by supervising Residence Life staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be an enrolled student at Shepherd University.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
