The Department of Financial Services is seeking candidates for the position of Office Services Manager in the Office Services and Facilities Management Unit.

Some travel may be required for this position. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Manages agency space and facility operations, including planning, procurement, and coordination of maintenance, repairs, preventative services, and tenant alterations; Ensures efficient utilization of space and continuity of operations; Directs and administers office services operations, including development and implementation of procedures; Ensures compliance with agency policy and management directives; Monitors workflow and service delivery for efficiency and effectiveness; Oversees records management, purchasing activities, and inventory control functions; Maintains and updates intranet content; Evaluates operations and implements process improvements; Supervises office services staff and coordinates activities related to employee onboarding, changes, and separations; Assigns work, monitors performance, and ensures timely completion of assignments; Manages mailroom and courier operations in compliance with applicable regulations; Coordinates vendor services for facility-related functions, including maintenance, cleaning, and disposal; Monitors service agreements and contractor performance; Monitors building access systems; Coordinates emergency preparedness and workplace safety initiatives, including ergonomics programs; and Ensures compliance with safety regulations, lease agreements, and contractual obligations. Minimum Qualifications Appointment Method: List Appointment: Candidates must be reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for 38-147010.

Transfer: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a title eligible for transfer via Sections 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Information regarding transfer eligibility may be available on the Civil Service Career Mobility Office website. Please note that under Civil Service Law, an employee cannot have two consecutive upward 70.1 or 52.6 transfers without an intervening eligible list appointment if such transfers would exceed two salary grades

Minimum Qualifications: One year of service as an Assistant Office Services Manager; OR one year of service as a Chief Clerk, Chief Mail & Supply Clerk, Public Buildings Manager 2, Property Manager 1, Property Manager 2. Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP): In accordance with Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law, if the number of qualified candidates who apply for the position is three or less, a permanent appointment can be made, at agency discretion, by non-competitive promotion of an applicant who meets the minimum qualifications. Provisional: This could be a provisional appointment

A provisional appointment is a non-permanent appointment pending examination and permanent appointment to a competitive class position. Candidate must meet the minimum qualifications and will be required to take, pass, and be reachable in the next holding of the examination, if/when given. Additional Comments Please note that a change in negotiating unit may affect your salary, insurance and other benefits.

Salary: $86,681 - $109,650 Positions located within the New York City metropolitan area, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, Rockland, and Westchester Counties, are also eligible to receive an additional $4,000 annual downstate adjustment. Appointment Status: Permanent Travel: 10% Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
