OFFICE SERVICES SPECIALIST

Location: Troy, MI
Pay: $20.00-$20.70/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Assignment: Contract | August 24, 2026-November 28, 2026
Work Environment: 100% Onsite

We are seeking an Office Services Specialist to support mailroom, print center, shipping, and general office operations for a busy professional environment in Troy, Michigan.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with mailroom and/or print center experience who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with office equipment, and enjoys providing excellent internal customer service. The role includes mail and package processing, high-volume printing, shipping and receiving, office supply support, equipment troubleshooting, and occasional assistance with meetings, deliveries, and company events.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, interoffice correspondence, packages, and deliveries.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages using USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other carrier systems.
  • Meter outgoing mail and ensure correct postage and mailing classifications.
  • Process large and special mailings using folding, inserting, and related mailroom equipment.
  • Complete production printing requests using Fiery or comparable print software.
  • Operate high-volume printers, copiers, and finishing equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on printers, copiers, postage meters, and other office equipment.
  • Monitor print and office supply inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Enter, update, and close equipment service requests using systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Assist with conference room setup, furniture arrangements, and basic AV equipment troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and transport materials, displays, signage, and promotional items for company events.
  • Assist with office moves, including moving and reconnecting computers and peripherals.
  • Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Support inventory counts, warehouse activities, and material handling as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA, workplace safety, and company procedures.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of clerical, mailroom, office services, shipping/receiving, or related experience.
  • Mailroom experience strongly preferred.
  • Print center or high-volume printing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Comfortable operating printers, copiers, postage equipment, and other office machinery.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-service mindset and willingness to assist multiple departments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and safe driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of print center or production printing experience.
  • Experience with Fiery print software or similar production printing platforms.
  • Experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or other shipping systems.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or another service-ticketing system.
  • Associate degree is a plus but not required.
POSITION DETAILS
This is a fully onsite position in Troy, MI, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position involves a combination of office, mailroom, and print center responsibilities, with occasional warehouse, delivery, or offsite event support.

Candidates should be comfortable with a physically active workday and occasional schedule adjustments or overtime during high-volume periods.
Pay: $20.00-$20.70 per hour
