Job description

Summary:
The Office Service Assistant will provide ongoing clerical assistance and help facilitate an efficient operation of the school as an educational facility.
Responsibilities:


  • Perform secretarial, clerical, and administrative support duties including respond to and route incoming phone calls, record messages, record lunch counts, word processing, distribute mail, deliver student messages, maintain guest teacher folders, maintain and update staff emergency folders, produce/collate/distribute copies, and maintain office machines.
  • Update morning and afternoon student attendance in Infinite Campus, locate students who have not been called in, general attendance letters, proof of attendance reports, health department reports, and assist in maintaining information in Infinite Campus.
  • Assist in maintenance of CA60's.
  • Assist in the MSTEP testing preparation process.
  • Bus duty before and after school/monitor arrival and dismissal or other duties as assigned.
  • Assist students by dispensing medication, contacting parents when necessary, caring for sick/injured children.
  • Maintain school calendar/schedules (Kids Hope, Conference Rooms, display cases, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and provide Infinite Campus support, parent portal liaison and other technology related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with additional training or related work experience required.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, administrators, parents and the general public.
  • A high degree of flexibility, discretionary and integrity to properly perform the duties of this position.
  • Computer and word processing expertise are required.  Knowledge of Infinite Campus is preferred.
  • Ability to work in an environment where interruptions occur constantly, working conditions may include a variety of different needs from different individuals, and occasionally requires lifting and moving boxes of supplies, books, teaching materials, equipment, etc.

7.5 Hours per day
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Monday through Friday
Staff Calendar plus 2 weeks
Compensation:
Level 2 - $15.74 - $18.42
Replacement Position
Once the posting deadline date has been met, the supervisor will review applications and schedule interviews with the most qualified candidates.  An email will be sent to applicants when the position has been filled.
