Compensation range: $100,000-$110,000/year

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Location: Remote, if in the Seattle area, role will be Hybrid, in office 3 days a week

Position SummaryPosition Overview:ย 

Manages large projects over 250,000 sq. ft or of complex nature. Defines and manages project budget and scope, ensuring accuracy for reporting while maintaining profitability expectations. Ensures communication plan is in place for all stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met from beginning to close.ย  Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Client Workplace Guidelines and FF&E Planning. Understands project specific requirements, goals, and challenges that impact client service delivery.ย  Attends or leads all relevant meetings with architect/designer; attends project meetings with clients, vendors, and construction management.ย  Defines project deliverables and deadlines for internal project team (Planning, Sourcing, Installation) based on project requirements and client needs.

Essential Functions- .

Team Leadership

  • Point of first escalation for the planning team and supports new hire training and project coaching.
  • Exhibits tenacious and creative problem-solving skills, while leading by example with a strategic and de-escalation focus approach.
  • Encourages and embodies the "teach to fish" ideology and leads planning group to raise the bar in knowledge and excellence.

Client Leadership and Interface

  • Works closely with clients/client representatives to build clear understanding and expectations; project requirements such as milestones, deliverables, deadlines.
  • Meets regularly with client/client representatives to provide updates on project status and to manage emerging project issues.
  • Manages scope closely with clients/client representatives and communicates scope changes and presents appropriate solutions and associated resource impacts.
  • Works with clients to understand existing standards and process, develops and revise standards and policies as needed.
  • Assists clients with the development of documentation and procurement of products and services outside of the standard programs.

Budget Management

  • Defines and manages project budgets, ensuring accuracy for reporting and profitability.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of proposed, approved and revisions of project budget.
  • Manages scope closely with internal partners and, as appropriate, defines change orders.
  • Identifies and implements timely audits to minimize errors that impact resources and/or profit margin.
  • Ensures timely submittal and approval for project billings.
  • Completes weekly accurate time keeping for all individual project work.

Project Leadership

  • Builds strong relationships with regional client and vendor representatives.
  • Defines project deliverables and deadlines for internal project team (Planning, Sourcing, Installation) based on project requirements and client needs.
  • Regular communication with internal and external project team members to ensure all parties are up to date on status, risk, revisions, and changes.
  • Manages project dependencies to ensure coordination and on time delivery.

Expertise and QC

  • Subject Matter Expert for FF&E Project process and best practices.
  • Ensures all quality control practices are implemented per process: plan to spec, specification review, appropriate double checks, green stamp, etc. to ensure accuracy of ordering per specification.
  • Engages in early design reviews to ensure specifications being proposed fit project requirements.
  • Maintains all critical project documentation for quality control: PAL (Project Action Log), spec version control, standard count, floor plans, installation information.
  • Review design and product specification to ensure customer guidelines, programming, and design language are applied.
  • Consult on matters where specifications may conflict with multiple interests and facilitate the project team and client towards an agreed upon solution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Furniture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architectural Studies, or relevant degree
  • 7-10 years Project Management experience in design field.
  • Solid Understanding of PMP
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge in design specification development.
  • Solid and direct experience in leading project communication of scope and risks to internal and external partners including client.
  • Experience leading a project team.
Computer Skills
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Demonstrated ability in MS Project or similar project management software.
