Job Description

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
Place Class 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 fillings quickly and accurately.
Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment before and after use to ensure infection control.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, following radiation safety protocols.
Perform coronal polishing and assist with intravenous access lines under dentist supervision.
Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient assessments as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Manage inventory levels of dental supplies, ensuring the office is well-stocked and organized.
Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
Collaborate effectively with dental team members to deliver efficient and compassionate care.

Salary Range

Full-time $23 - $32 per hour

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Sign-on bonus available after 90 days of employment.

Requirements
  • Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification.
Proven experience as an RDA or EDDA in a dental office setting.
Completion of radiation safety class and coronal polish certification.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
Ability to place dental fillings (Classes 1-5) accurately and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with patients and the dental team.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to commute or relocate to Independence, KY 41051 before starting work.
