Job description


The Office Assistant 2 will perform office support and clerical work for the Office of Opportunity Programs.
In order to maintain a welcoming environment for prospective students, students, community members, and visiting university staff, the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with publication and scheduling of workshops and sending notification to students
  • Assist with monitoring and editing Opportunity Program webpages
  • Update student information in Banner
  • Assist with maintaining Opportunity Program calendar and scheduling
  • Collect and track all required documents for advisor review
  • Provide excellent customer service, including telephone, e-mail or in person inquiries
  • Actively participate in university activities

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a reachable score on the Office Assistant 2 Exam List
OR
Be a current NYS employee and have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as an Office Assistant 2, or in a title eligible to transfer to Office Assistant 2
OR
NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NY HELPS):
One year of clerical experience
Work Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm
