About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with an established, family-owned insurance company in Olympia, WA, to fill an Office Assistant position. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service, staying organized, and being part of a close-knit team in a busy professional office.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days will look exactly the same. The Office Assistant will provide support to customers, agents, and other team members while helping keep day-to-day office operations running smoothly.

This position is Evaluation-to-Hire and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation starts at $20.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
• Assist customers, agents, and internal team members with questions and general support
• Process incoming and outgoing email and postal mail
• Prepare and process insurance-related documents and paperwork
• Complete data entry and maintain accurate customer and policy information
• Assist with billing and basic bookkeeping-related office tasks
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper files
• Provide administrative support to agents, managers, and other office staff
• Help coordinate communication between the main office and additional locations
• Assist with other general office duties as needed

What You Bring:

• Previous office, administrative, customer service, or related experience required
• Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Medical office, bookkeeping, or other detail-oriented professional office experience may transfer well to this position
• Excellent customer service and professional phone skills
• Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls and changing priorities throughout the day
