Director of Housekeeping

Rehab and Healthcare Center is a one floor charming long term/ skilled community. We are seeking a new Housekeeping Director to join their team. The Housekeeping Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping, & Laundry.

The Housekeeping Director oversees all aspects of the environmental services operation to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner for its residents. This role includes being responsible for ensuring the Life Safety of all residents, visitors, and employees within the facility.

Director of Housekeeping Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate housekeeping services with other related departments.

  • Oversee that a stock level of housekeeping supplies is maintained to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

  • Provide reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the housekeeping department.

  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as directed.

  • Performs regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.

Director of Housekeeping Position Requirements:

  • Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices and procedures.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare setting.

  • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
