Job description

If you have an affinity for complex technical systems, excellent communication and product troubleshooting skills, and enjoy working collaboratively, we may have the perfect role for you! As a Product Support Engineer III, you will lead the technical support efforts for our product and system prototypes. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and implementing corrective actions to ensure product reliability. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage technical support projects effectively.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical support and troubleshooting for product and system prototypes.

  • Manage product installation, testing, and validation processes.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues and defects.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and reports.

  • Conduct detailed customer needs assessments and provide technical solutions.

  • Oversee product demonstrations and training sessions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product support and troubleshooting.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 6+ years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Expertise in product installation and testing processes.

  • Hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers.

  • Communication and customer interface skills.

  • Thorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems.

  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.

  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.

  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.

  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.

  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.

  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced experience with prototype or concept product development.

  • In-depth knowledge of Aerospace and Defense industry standards and practices.

  • Relevant technical certifications [e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP)].

  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics.

  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors.

  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.

  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), vehicle installation and maintenance procedures.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.

  • Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.

  • Hand/finger dexterity for operating computer equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

  • Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
