Job description

A leading provider of optometric care for correctional facilities in Florida is seeking a Mobile Optometrist to join its team. The organization serves numerous facilities and offers a flexible travel radius determined by the optometrist's location. This opportunity is open to both part-time (1099) and full-time (W2 or 1099) employment.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive optometric care to inmates in correctional facilities
  • Travel to assigned facilities within a reasonable radius from your home base
  • Focus on medical optometry, managing a wide range of ocular diseases and urgent eye care needs
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all facility and regulatory requirements

Compensation:

  • Minimum $1,000 per day
  • Average $1,500–$2,000 per day
  • Florida-based full-time ODs can earn $400,000–$500,000 annually
