Job description

This position is part of our retail banking team which serves as the primary service delivery channel of Oconee State Bank.

A Senior Personal Banker assists our customers in managing their bank accounts and finances. You’ll be responsible for building long-term relationships with clients and cross-selling them our products and services.  They must be excellent communicators with knowledge of our banking processes and products.  You’ll be the face of our bank and we’ll depend on you to provide high-quality customer service.  The Senior Personal Banker is also responsible for various vault and audit responsibilities for the branch.
 

Responsibilities (Including but Not Limited To):
  • Advise customers on bank services for their needs (ex. Loans, credit cards, investment services)
  • Manage customer bank accounts; including opening, closing and processing transactions
  • Resolve any issues with banking services and accounts
  • Refer clients to product experts as needed
  • Reach out to potential customers to generate new business
  • Perform administrative duties related to accounts
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high-quality customer service
  • Handle customer needs by providing high level solutions to questions and concerns
  • Make sound decisions based on our policies/procedures with a solid risk assessment
  • Manage vault functions including buying and selling cash, placing shipment orders, preparing outgoing currency, and balancing the vault.
  • Assist Financial Center Manager with compliance reporting
  • Perform internal audits to ensure personal bankers are following policies related to cash drawers
Minimum Years of Experience:
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in sales or customer service field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented approach to problem solving
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of banking practices and regulations
  • Cash handling experience
