Job description

Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Financial Analyst to work in Newport, OR or Gulfport, MS. This position provides dedicated financial management and resource support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) Resource Management Branch (RMB), the position can be located in either Newport OR or Gulfport, MS. The analyst will be responsible for a range of critical financial activities, ensuring the accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting of budgetary and accounting data. Key Responsibilities * Conduct budget tracking and in-depth financial analysis. * Examine and interpret complex accounting data, including expenditure types, authorization amounts, and obligations. * Develop and maintain robust financial tracking tools and reporting mechanisms. * Compile, analyze, and reconcile a variety of complex transactions and accounts. * Develop high-quality briefing materials for management and clients. * Resolve management and client inquiries related to financial data and processes. * Collect, verify, compile, and summarize financial data and information. * Generate, process, and track financial documentation, while assisting senior specialists with more complex activities. Required Skills * Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. * Must have a Bachelor's degree. * Core Competency: Solid foundation in finance and accounting principles, practices, and procedures, including Government financial management systems, budgets/appropriations, and audits. * Federal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of and experience with federal budgeting, financial management, and accounting standards. * Project Management: Proven experience in participating in diverse teams, planning, executing, and reporting complex projects, including defining goals, setting performance targets, and reporting execution results. * Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software, to include working with and creating formulas and macros to track, produce, and maintain complex analysis and briefing materials. * Communication & Organization: Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain extreme organization and detail orientation in both in-person and remote environments. * Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field. * Security: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
