Job Description:

Are you looking for a role where your technical skills can make a real impact? Join our team at Multi Modal Express (MME) as an Intermodal Trailer Technician and become an essential part of our operations, ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and ready for the road.

As an Intermodal Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing intermodal trailers and corresponding equipment associated with our business. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and detailed inspections on intermodal trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
  • Replace or repair brakes, suspensions, tires, and other trailer components.
  • Conduct welding and fabrication as required.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and departments to ensure timely service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a trailer technician, preferably with intermodal or refrigerated trailers.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Qualifications but Not Required:

  • Universal or Type 2 EPA 608 Certification (High Pressure Refrigeration Equipment)
  • ASE Heavy Truck and Trailer Certifications
