Summary

The Freight Forwarder, Ocean Export is responsible for overseeing the export of goods via ocean transport. This position ensures that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinate with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Maintain relationships with customers and partners
  • Analyze market trends and identify areas for process improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
  • Oversee documentation for export shipments

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Familiarity with export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and industry best practices.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in using computer software programs related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ocean freight regulations, customs requirements, and export controls
  • Knowledge of shipping routes and schedules

Language skills

  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus

 

 

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with logistics software and systems is required

For this position, the expected base pay range is $22.50$30.50 / Hourly.  Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
