As a travel nurse in this unique Alaskan destination, you'll gain invaluable clinical exposure while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to serving a diverse patient community. This role is an exceptional opportunity to expand your clinical skills by working with a broad spectrum of acute and chronic patient cases, all while engaging in varied workplace practices and leadership styles. Schedule:

  • Travel position; rotating shifts and weekend coverage as needed
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive, culturally sensitive nursing care across the lifespan
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based practice
  • Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate care appropriately
  • Administer medications/treatments and provide patient/family education
  • Document all assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement, comply with infection prevention policies, and maintain required competencies
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
  • High-risk competency and clinical competency validation (within 3 months of hire)
  • Ability to manage fluctuating acuity, strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health records
