Major Responsibilities:

  • Supervise ormonitorprojects relating toenvironmental exposures to multiple chemical and physical hazardsto ensure that work is executedsafely,on time andin accordance withcompany policies,proceduresandestablished standards
  • Oversee the maintenanceandrequiredcommunication ofexposure records.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for corrective actions to address identified hazards.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for leadershipregardingtrends, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess workplace hazards,recommendappropriate controlmeasuresand track action items.
  • Perform onsite investigations for indoor air quality complaintsacross the enterprise.
  • Perform risk assessments for various chemical,physicalor biologicalhazards and processes and make recommendationstoimprove teammate safety and compliancewith federal and state regulations.
  • Provideindustrial hygieneexpertiseandassistancetodepartments,projectsand contractors.
  • Recommend and review all industrial hygiene-relatedvirtual and in-person trainingas needed.
  • Ensure acquisition,maintenanceandproperutilizationofindustrial hygiene equipmentsuch as:noise dosimeters, indoor air quality analyzers, moisture meters, heat stress equipment, etc.
  • Review industrial hygiene equipment needs for all markets.
  • Serve asAdvocateHealth representative to outside regulatory and compliance agenciesas needed.
  • Regularly review and update industrial hygiene policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing regulations
  • Designs and directs the work of the team(s). Selects, coaches, and developsteam(s).Setsclear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary.
  • May develop and/or recommendoperating andcapital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budgetobjectives.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring thatpeopleactions, and the actions of employees supervised,comply withthe policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Education Required:

  • Master's Degree inIndustrialHygiene, Environmental Health & Safety,Occupational Health and Safety,Chemistry, or a related scientific field

Experience Required:

  • Minimum3years of experiencein industrial hygiene or occupational health and safety.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge ofexposure limits for various chemicals.
  • Experience working with industrial hygiene monitoring equipmentand samplingmethodology

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
