Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary: St. Anne's Family Services is seeking a proactive and experienced Associate Director of Facilities & Campus Operations who is responsible for the organization and management of St. Anne's campus, offsite locations, construction projects, and environmental services. This includes direct oversight of St Anne's physical plants and facilities (main campus and remote sites), Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Safety & Site Operations team. The Associate Director provides leadership to the facilities team and ensures all operations comply with local, state, and federal policies, regulations, and codes, including those required by applicable regulatory bodies, and relevant construction and maintenance standards. The Associate Director oversees facility construction projects, contracts, and assists with budget planning while maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the physical environment.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM, flex Friday (9/80 work schedule!)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of all agency facilities and remote sites, ensuring they are safe, maintained, and operationally efficient.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal policies, regulations, building codes, health and safety standards, and applicable requirements such as Davis-Bacon (as needed).
  • Monitor facility conditions and lead timely corrective actions to maintain safe, clean, and compliant environments.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the facilities team, including maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and site operations staff.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, training, and development to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Partner with the AVP on organizational needs related to facilities, safety, infrastructure, and strategic planning.
  • Serve as the lead for facility renovations, tenant improvements, construction, and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and manage RFPs and RFQs for improvements and maintenance in alignment with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Oversee construction project timelines, cost estimates, specifications, and agreements.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings, coordinate design efforts, and manage change orders to assess impacts on scope, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Must have some college courses and related training and certifications, required
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in maintenance, safety, and construction standards, including compliance and regulatory management. A combination of strong administrative skills and hands-on experience and a background in construction management; comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, building safety, and security guideline, required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience, managing multi-disciplinary teams (maintenance, custodial, safety, and operations staff), required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using computers and software tools - including email, work order systems, and project tracking platforms
  • Knowledge/understanding of trade skills: HVAC, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handling systems, plumbing, electrical, generators, uninterrupted power supply (UPS), elevators, fire protection, building monitoring/security systems, and computer/telephone systems.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, stay calm under pressure, and think critically when challenges arise
