Job description

Oberto Snacks, Inc. known for our high quality, delicious meat snacks are currently hiring aSanitation Technician on 3rd shift at our Kent, Washington manufacturing facility.
Responsible for the sanitation and release of all manufacturing machinery. This ensures timely startups of manufacturing and adherence to HACCP regulations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw processing departments and the weekly, Sunday, cleaning of finished processing and packaging departments.
  • Meet company and USDA specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time. This may include tasks such as prioritizing, planning and moving quickly and steadily through sanitation duties.
  • Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers and hoses.
  • Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Responsible for mixing and dispensing hand sanitizers.
  • Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually.
  • Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
  • Perform lock-out tag-out on machines when working on and cleaning machines.

SCHEDULE: Position is available on the third shift.8 hour shifts with overtime required during peak summer/fall production.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 6 months to 1-year sanitation/ janitorial experience preferred.
