Job description

Case Erector Operator Summary:

2ND SHIFT

The Case Erector Operator position is responsible for ensuring that all corrugated containers printed or un-printed comply with the current package coding requirements. Produce erected containers in the correct quantities and correct package coding when required, while meeting and exceeding all safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Essential Daily Tasks & Functions:

  • Communicate and understand Production schedule.
  • Perform all required changeovers within the proper time frame.
  • Perform visual inspection of all corrugated containers ensure proper case coding and package integrity.
  • Know and understand all product package requirements.
  • Filter out all non-conforming containers as it relates to case coding, legibility of print and package integrity.
  • Maintain and accurate count of all complete cartons produced.
  • Communicate quality issues/concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Manually erect corrugated containers when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Complete all documentations as required.
  • Able to meet daily production standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Mechanically inclined and adhere to LOTO procedures.
  • Able to perform minor equipment repairs and perform operator PM tasks.
  • Inspect corrugate and ensure printing on boxes are clear and defined.
  • Ability to understand and pass LOTO training annually.

Essential Skills or Qualifications:

  • Able to lift 40+ lbs.
  • Stand for the duration of the shift (10 hours or more)
  • Ability to bend continuously throughout the shift
  • Able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift
  • Able to reach with hands and arms to check product
