Highlights:

Summary: The OB Scrub Technician shall be responsible for assisting the RN in the provision of quality patient care during the assigned shift. The OB Scrub Technician shall demonstrate the ability to perform surgical scrub for obstetrical deliveries and any other obstetrical emergency, maintenance of supplies in the LDRs, and surgical suites, and other identified patient care within the parameters of the job description. Additionally, this individual will also demonstrate the ability to perform clerical duties. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.The Coder shall be responsible for assignment of diagnoses and procedure codes for the billing process and the statistical database. This individual will work with coding programs and appropriate resources to assure all coding is based on complete and accurate documentation that is reflective of the patients medical condition and severity. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.Education / Experience: High School graduate or equivalent required.License / Certification: Certified Surgical Technician preferred, BLS requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety principles of physical care and comfort.Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:Position requires sitting for 15% of the workday and mobility 85% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
