Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a night shift schedule at a Level 3 OB facility, with floating requirements to Nursery and Post-Partum.

Details
  • Work setting is a 175-bed acute care hospital on the OB 3rd floor, serving an OB/GYN Combined unit
  • Level 3 OB designation with a generally low-volume unit averaging fewer than 15 deliveries per month
  • Unit includes 3 L&D beds, 9 OB beds, 14 Nursery beds, and 3 intermediate nursery beds
  • Patient population is OB/Labor & Delivery and Nursery, including intermediate nursery care
  • Floating to Nursery and Post-Partum is required when units are closed due to census
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (18:45–07:15)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Patient ratios follow A1 guidelines
  • EMR: Meditech
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active VA RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of OB/L&D nursing experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (all AHA-issued), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or higher; STABLE certification required for Nursery coverage
  • Experience with general OB L&D and Nursery care
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Candidate's permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility
