This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for an OBGYN physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

How you'll make an impact in this role:

  • Join an established team of 8 OB/GYN Physicians.
  • Call schedule is 24 hours in-house at St. Joseph Hospital, 1:8 days with a post-call day off.
  • Practice covers St. Joseph Hospital, which includes an OBGYN Resident Program.
  • Consults available from 4 Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians for High-Risk Mothers and Babies, along with Gyn/Onc, Uro/Gyn, and Breast Surgeon consults
  • Ultrasounds are performed by Sonographers at the clinic location.
  • A da Vinci Xi Robot is available.
  • The office includes 10 exam rooms, 1 procedure room, 1 ultrasound room, and 2 rooms for non-stress testing.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
  • Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
  • Participate in academic programs (e.g., medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:
