Schedule
Full-time position, 32-40 hours a week. Either 8 or 10 hour days.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations, which include abdominal, OB/Gyn, and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures. The individual in this role must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Perform general ultrasound including abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular studies.
  • Competently set up and assist radiologists during procedures.
  • Interact with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to manage exam orders.
  • Record and analyze Quality Control (QC) data to maintain accuracy and precision.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by performing equipment checks and cleaning work areas.
  • Maintain attendance punctuality by clocking in and out as scheduled.
  • Complete in-house education and competencies to stay updated on clinical knowledge and new protocols.
  • Transport patients as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Utilize PACS systems for image release and transmission.
  • Communicate supply needs to ensure uninterrupted testing.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance patient and staff experiences.
  • Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies.
  • Exhibit company values while executing additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound.
  • RVT registration preferred.
  • RDMS (AB, OB-GYN) preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
