Job Description
Rogers Group, headquartered in Nashville, TN is a 115-year-old privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company with quarry and asphalt construction operations in ten states with 3,500 employees. The company has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held crushed stone producer in the United States
Rogers Group is seeking a qualified WELDER & Fabricator for our East TN operations based out of Oak Ridge, TN. Must be comfortable with heights and working in a man lift.
Pay depending on experience.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
  • Inspect and perform daily maintenance on plant
  • Inspect and perform repairs as needed for plant
  • Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors and screens for plant
  • Fabricate various components for the plants throughout our East TN division
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance experience necessary
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
  • Ability to operate a man lift
  • Arc welding experience preferred
  • Experience in steel erection/destruction i.e., welding, cutting, and fitting preferred
  • Experience working with crushers, conveyors, and screens a plus
  • Previous experience working in a rock quarry preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
