Job description

Job Summary:The Polysomnographic Technologist Supervisor will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This will involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education; perform scoring of sleep studies, conduct nocturnal and diurnal sleep testing in the Sleep Center. Will coordinate all of the departmental shift patient care, coordination of departmental staffing including input for selection, evaluation, promotion, discipline, personnel record keeping and reporting and monitoring for performance and quality assurance/improvement activities. Provides oversight, training and instruction of technical staff. Evaluate nightly workload and staffing levels. Assists in the ordering and maintenance of technical supply levels. Assists the Medical Director and/or Manager of the Sleep Center in all aspects of Sleep Center Operations Minimum Qualifications:
A.A.S. (or higher level) degree in Respiratory Therapy or an associate or higher degree in polysomnographic technology or equivalent approved Polysomnographic Technology degree/program, NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist, or Sleep Technologist and a minimum of 4 years of post degree clinical experience performing and/or scoring Polysomnographic studies required. Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required. CPR Certification Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Work Days:
Nights, 10 hour shifts, 8:00pm - 6:30am or 8:30pm - 7:00am; weekends included
