The Role:
We’re looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician / Machine Builder – Electrical to join our team and bring our custom machinery to life. In this role, you’ll be hands-on—laying out wiring, assembling electrical components, reading schematics, and ensuring every machine is built to perform flawlessly.


You’ll work closely with our engineering and production teams to turn detailed plans into working systems, using your technical skills to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and keep projects moving forward. This is a role for someone who thrives on precision, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and enjoys the challenge of making complex systems work seamlessly.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assemble and wire electrical panels, enclosures, and machine components per blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Layout, drill, tap, and mount electrical components and assemblies.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting, testing, startup, and debugging of equipment.
  • Support electrical machine and facility maintenance activities.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Provide technical support for equipment service and startup activities.
  • Travel occasionally for equipment installation, startup, training, and customer support.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
  • Assist with mechanical assembly and material handling as needed.
Requirements:


  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial electrical environment.
  • Technical degree or vocational training preferred but not required.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to travel as needed to customer facilities for service support.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime and travel out of town for service trips
  • Comfortable performing physically active work including frequent lifting, climbing, standing, crouching, bending, and kneeling
