Job description

Nuveen, as the asset manager of TIAA, has been one of the fastest growing firms in the defined contribution market with top performing target date funds and industry leading in-plan annuity embedded retirement solutions. To advance our firm's growth strategy, Nuveen Retirement Investing (NRI) is seeking highly self-motivated, resilient & goal oriented NRI Internal Sales Associates to join our team.
The primary responsibility NRI Internal Sales Associate is to partner with NRI external sales team to identify, prospect, nurture grow and close opportunities to sell industry leading Nuveen retirement products to retirement plan advisors & intermediaries, including but not limited to: financial advisors, retirement consultants, and 401k recordkeeping wholesalers.
This is a high impact role - Ideal candidates are ambitious, self-starting, analytical, and career driven professionals who want a longer-term path to external sales, or strategic client relationship management, or opportunities which may span across Nuveen's global public-to-private investment teams.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Partner with NRI external sales team to drive NRI asset growth within a defined sales territory
  • Proactively engage with retirement plan advisors,consultants, and401krecordkeepingwholesalerstobest servetheirclients'goals- duallyidentifying, prospecting,nurturingtogrowopportunities toposition &sell Nuveen retirement products
  • Applydisciplineto gather &maintainhigh quality,accurateCRM (Salesforce)prospect/ client pipelinedata
  • Coordinate with NRI external sales teamtoprepare for client meetings & promptly follow through on post meeting activities, including but not limitedto:managingcalendars& meeting invites, managing meetinglogistics,coordinatingmeeting materials, preparing RFI/RFPs, supporting due diligence activities
  • Support NRI external sales team to develop, refine, and execute sales territory plans
  • Staysharp onindustry trends, competitor positioning, market flows & relevant developmentstoidentifynew opportunities and adaptterritory sales executionaccordingly
  • Consistentlydeploysales toolkits, advisor reports & analytics, value add programs to maximize valueto prospects / clients
  • CollaboratewithNRI Internal Sales Associates,Internal Sales Desk Manager,and broader NRI teamtoshare best practices,coach&enable continuous "leveling-up"high performanceacross all NRI sales territories

In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
