Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nutrition Assistant I, you will participate in and support all aspects of healthcare foodservice operations, working with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care while demonstrating excellent customer service.
Every day you will assist in food preparation, tray assembly, and delivery, interact positively with patients, guests, and staff, and contribute to a smooth and efficient foodservice operation.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to teamwork and quality in a healthcare foodservice environment.

  • Follows healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes.
  • Prepares and serves food within guidelines of menu & dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Ensures proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
  • Avoids crosscontamination of foods and adheres to personal hygiene requirements.
  • Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment, and machinery per regulations & facility guidelines.
  • Performing cold food prep.
Job Requirements

Required

  • One (1) year of food service or customer service experience
  • FHP: within 30 days or state requirement

Preferred

  • High School Diploma
  • Cashier experience
