We are looking for a positive, energetic, and compassionate Nutrition & Wellness Coach who loves working with people and knows how to inspire patients to believe in themselves and stay committed to their goals.

Position Overview:

As a Nutrition & Wellness Coach at Medi-Weightloss of Drexel Hill, you will be one of the key people patients look forward to seeing during their visits. You will provide nutrition education, lifestyle coaching, behavior-change support, and ongoing encouragement in a way that feels warm, motivating, and personal.

We are looking for someone an engaging personality who is passionate about helping people in their weight loss journey. The right candidate will be confident in their ability to influence patient behavior, build trust, and help patients stay accountable without making them feel judged or discouraged.

Essential Job Functions:

Patient Coaching & Education

  • Conduct one-on-one patient coaching visits focused on nutrition, wellness, behavior change, and program adherence.

  • Create a positive, encouraging, and motivating experience for each patient.

  • Help patients identify barriers, celebrate progress, and stay accountable to their goals.

  • Deliver supportive coaching that helps patients make realistic and lasting lifestyle changes.

  • Educate patients on nutrition, exercise, meal planning, healthy habits, and behavior modification.

  • Reinforce provider-directed plans and clinic protocols.

  • Consult regularly with on-site providers regarding patients with more complex medical conditions, challenging progress, or clinical concerns.

  • Defer to providers for direct medical oversight when a patient’s nutrition plan, medication plan, or customized program requires additional clinical input.

  • Conduct follow-up calls to review progress, answer program-related questions, and provide ongoing support and encouragement.p calls to discuss progress, answer questions, and provide ongoing encouragement.

Clinical Support

  • Obtain patients weight and review body composition

  • Assist the provider with patient referrals and other clinical tasks as needed.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR according to clinic policies.

  • Follow all clinical protocols, privacy standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Support patient retention through follow-up calls, patient check-ins, and proactive communication.

  • Assist with scheduling, inventory, and daily clinic operations as needed.

  • Help create a welcoming and organized patient experience from arrival through checkout.

  • Participate in patient referral initiatives, community outreach, and marketing efforts to promote the Medi-Weightloss brand.

  • Support training of new team members on clinic workflows, patient engagement, and daily procedures as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Positive, outgoing, and engaging personality with a natural ability to connect with people.

  • Confidence in coaching, motivating, and influencing patient behavior in a supportive way.

  • Strong interest in nutrition, wellness, weight loss, fitness, behavior change, or patient care.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Exercise Science, Health Education, Nursing, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in patient counseling, health coaching, nutrition coaching, weight loss, fitness, sales, customer service, or a clinical setting preferred.

  • Comfortable working with patients in a warm, professional, and motivating manner.

  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.

  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, reliability, and integrity in all interactions.

Compensation: $22–$25 per hour, based on experience, plus incentive opportunities.
