About the role

The Health Coach Faculty member and instructor will lead live instruction during concurrent cohorts of our 20-week Health Coach Certification Program and will follow all curriculum guidelines set forth in our board-approved program.
In addition to teaching live 90-minute sessions, this faculty member will join the synchronous coaching team for mindbodygreen’s Health Coach Certification program and will conduct 1:1 student guidance in (3) Practical Skill Assessment windows during our 20-week cohorts. 

The ideal candidate works creatively and efficiently to ensure content standards are upheld, while also ensuring adherence to our established program style and standards for grading Practical Skills Assessments in our Health Coach Certification program. The candidate must be NBHWC certified coach and hold a Master's Degree in a Health & Wellness field. If you do not have both of these qualifications, please do not apply.

Responsibilities
  • Teach board-approved curriculum weekly during 90-minute live sessions
  • Conduct 1:1 Practical Skills Assessment sessions with students for (3) PSA windows during our 20-week cohorts. This includes: watching student-submitted video of them coaching a client, grading that student using our board-approved program Practical Skills Assessment Rubric, and then meeting for 20 minutes with each student to provide feedback based on the rubric you completed. 
  • Provide regular feedback on how to continuously improve the program based on student interaction.
Requirements 
  • NBHWC certified coach - please provide your # when you apply
  • Master's Degree in a Health & Wellness field approved by NBHWC for faculty members
  • Familiarity and comfort with teaching NBHWC's core curriculum
  • Alignment with mindbodygreen values, especially around the power of functional nutrition to transform and optimize health and well-being
  • Comfort with live instruction technology and learning systems
  • Comfort with zoom feedback sessions and technology
  • Completed 60 hours of coaching training
  • Completed 200 hours of coaching sessions after becoming board certified
