Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring that the appropriate level of care is provided.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques during incoming and outgoing calls to address immediate client needs effectively.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records using specialized software, documenting client interactions and treatment progress to meet compliance standards.
• Engage in regular follow-up communication with clients to monitor their progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nutritionists, and other counselors to create an integrated treatment approach.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and families regarding mental health resources, benefits, and available support services.
• Evaluate the risk of harm to clients and implement appropriate safety measures when necessary.
• Provide education to clients about mental health issues, and facilitate connections to support groups and resources.
• Handle client concerns and conflicts with professionalism, offering accurate information regarding policies and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on supporting a diverse population of adolescents and adults dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and family dynamics. You will engage with clients from different backgrounds and walks of life, which requires sensitivity to their unique experiences and challenges. Your work will significantly impact individuals' lives and their families, promoting mental wellness and healthy communication.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in California, as approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
• A Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all interactions.
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with the treatment team.
• The ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations, applying appropriate intervention strategies.
• Flexibility in addressing a wide range of client issues and environmental contexts.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with clients who have eating disorders or are in higher levels of care.
• Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in mental health settings.
• Telehealth experience is preferred, although comprehensive training will be provided for new hires.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
