What you will be doing:
The WIC Family Nutrition Program Manager role offers an experienced public health nutrition professional the opportunity to lead and strengthen WIC services across Alaska. In this role, you will lead regional WIC staff, coordinate outreach through Public Health Centers, and work closely with local teams, grantees, and vendors to ensure women, infants, and children receive high-quality nutrition services, education, supplemental foods, and healthcare referrals.
You will have the opportunity to shape regional program operations, build strong community partnerships, and support culturally responsive and equitable services for families throughout Alaska. As part of Alaska's statewide WIC program, you will combine your leadership and public health expertise to support program compliance while making a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of Alaska's families.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in biological, health or behavioral science; health practice; education; public, healthcare, or business administration; or a closely related field;

Progressively responsible professional supervisory or lead level experience performing health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation, or implementation; providing technical health care assistance and consultation; conducting health care utilization or quality assurance examinations; and/or delivering health care service.
Special Note: Agencies employing Health Program Managers are responsible for administering a wide range of medical, behavioral, and social health insurance programs for children and adults.
