Job description

Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utah's growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus, which is convenient for patients in Ogden, Roy, and other neighborhoods west of I-15, currently offers emergency care, radiology, mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Air Force Base, you can enjoy quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, hiking, biking, and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for.


As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

Every day you will perform vital patient care tasks, support nursing staff, and actively participate in a supportive team environment where your skills and experience are highly valued, with clear pathways for professional development and career advancement.

To be successful in this role, you will be committed to practicing at the top of your license, possess a strong work ethic, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic healthcare team.

  • Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
  • Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.
  • Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
  • Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
  • Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
  • Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
  • State registered CNA license

Preferred

  • Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.
