Nursing Skills Lab Professional
Position Description
Lincoln Land Community College is seeking two part-time, non-benefited Nursing Skills Lab Professionals to provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing and nursing assistant students in the skills and simulation laboratory setting. Nursing Skills Lab Professionals will assist with simulation activities and ensure effective preparation, organization, and operation of the skills lab environment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist students with skills in lab in both nursing and nursing assistant programs
  • Prepare lab for faculty-led lab sessions/competencies
  • Prepare lab for simulated patient care experiences
  • Support open-lab hours
  • Inventory durable goods, software and supplies, ordering when needed
  • Assist students in operating lab computer software
  • Perform other duties as assigned

This part-time, non-benefited position will be no more than 27 hours a week. Wage will be no less than $45.00/hour. Evening availability may be required depending on class schedules.
The Paid Leave for All Workers Act allows part-time employees to earn 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked. For more information on this benefit, please visit IL Department of Labor, PFLA Act.
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Professional Registered Nurse in Illinois
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or closely related field
  • Three years' nursing experience
  • Acute care experience and knowledge/proficiency of basic psychomotor nursing skills
